Hust Design showroom renovation

By Hust

In 2024, the renewed Hust Design furniture and interior showroom became not only an aesthetically refined space, but also a clearly curated experience. This renovation is the result of a creative synergy between the Danish design studio Ambiente and Hust Design architect Džesika Kulpytė, where form and feeling merge into one. Here, the interior is shaped as a dialogue between natural materials and light—subtle, yet distinctly defining the showroom’s identity.

The concept behind the renovation was clear: to create a space that not only presents collections, but also reflects Hust Design’s philosophy—design as a functional, long-lasting and emotionally meaningful whole. For this reason, the showroom was planned as a structured, ergonomic and sustainable solution, where every detail serves not only an aesthetic, but also a practical purpose.

One of the key highlights of the space is the curtain system, which defines the character of the showroom and outlines open yet individual zones. The curtains create a flexible layout: they allow natural movement between displays, provide more intimate consultation areas, and help manage the scale of the large space. At the same time, they solve important practical needs—comfortable walkways, clearly defined consultation points, and integrated electrical connections for displays.

Special attention was also given to acoustics. In the nearly 5-metre-high space, acoustic solutions were integrated to reduce echo and create a comfortable atmosphere for both visitors and consultations. This is one of the most important aspects that allows the showroom to remain warm and welcoming even within an open, large-scale environment.

Materiality becomes the main language of the showroom’s aesthetic identity. Clay plaster absorbs and softly diffuses light, creating a natural background for wooden surfaces and textile details. This wall finish adds warmth, allows materials to appear authentic and subtly highlights fabric textures. This sense of naturalness is complemented by stabilised plant compositions, which bring in life and greenery without requiring complex maintenance—another sign of a sustainable approach.

The experience of the space is enhanced by a lighting system designed to maintain balance across functional zones. It includes both even general lighting and directional accents focused on materials, textures and display details. The lighting acts as a guide, helping visitors move naturally through the showroom and drawing attention to what matters most.

The entire structure of the showroom is planned as a customer journey—a consistent sequence of experience points, where each area becomes a thoughtfully designed stop. Proportions, lines and materials lead visitors through a rationally planned route, making it easier to navigate, explore the collections and make decisions. This renovation has transformed the showroom into a space where refined design, functionality and emotion become one.

The renewed Hust Design showroom is more than an interior. It is a space where design becomes an experience, and every solution becomes a long-term investment in comfort, aesthetics and sustainable quality. It is HUST identity, where distinctiveness is expressed not through excessive luxury, but through thoughtful, mature and functional design.
